Histotechnologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist Specialist to join our team at Allied Digestive Health. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary and a dynamic work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing specimens, performing routine and non-routine activities involved in slide preparation, and maintaining laboratory equipment. They will also ensure that daily tasks are completed accurately and consistently.

• Process specimens with minimal supervision.
• Perform all routine procedures, including accessioning, grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, labeling, and distribution.
• Prepare and maintain working solutions for H&E staining on automatic stainers and special staining.
• Complete routine and special requests for additional levels, recuts, special stains, and immunohistochemistry.
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation, including temperature logs and quality assurance documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Clinical Laboratory Technician or Histology certification.
• Experience in histotechnology, including fixation, processing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, and simple special stains.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This position offers a competitive salary of $ $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and we offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
