Industry Relations Director: Driving Business Growth

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Industry Relations Director to lead our industry-focused outreach efforts. This role will be responsible for managing and leading industry relations programs to increase learning revenue, industry market share, awareness, and partnerships. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of business development, project management, and leadership experience in the adult education or roadway infrastructure industry.
The Industry Relations Director will:
- Determine the ATSSA value proposition for existing and potential industry partners, creating and executing activities to sustain and grow the value proposition.
- Build, manage, and oversee a comprehensive, metrics-based industry relations program to drive business growth and revenue.
- Travel to meet with potential industry partners and customers, conducting presentations, meetings, and connecting with departments of transportation to provide information about ATSSA training services and products.
- Develop and implement meaningful and best-in-class funded partnership opportunities and sales strategies to grow ATSSA non-grant training and product revenue.
- Oversight and management of Corporate Training Partner (CTP) efforts, analyzing results and executing specialty contracts, CTP Instructor recruitment and retention outreach, growing an active roster of Partners, and increasing related royalty revenue.
- Collaborate with member engagement, conducting member, chapter, and customer relationship-building outreach activities to develop and present information on ATSSA training services and products.
- Work closely with government relations to identify key agencies, departments, and offices at the federal, state, and local levels, furthering the objectives of government and industry relations efforts.
- Leverage industry partnerships, membership connections, and customer relations to promote, capitalize on, and encourage response to product specials and price incentives releases in accordance with the annual marketing plan.
- Collaborate with training operations and Marcom to promote, capitalize on, and encourage attendance of training offerings and grant courses.
- Attend trade shows, industry meetings, and other events to externally represent and serve as a spokesperson for ATSSA training, growing the network to expand market share and sales.
- Draw connections with and make introductions to potential key partners for the advancement of Foundation-related causes, collaborating with ATSS Foundation staff.
- Continually scan the industry environment, identifying key matters of significance to proactively address potential concerns and resolve member and customer issues.
- Utilize published data to inform ATSSA industry relations activities, participating in research and development impacting industry segments to grow ATSSA's business.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight years of successful project management and business development experience.
- Experience in adult education or the roadway infrastructure industry, with a proven track record of business development, project management, and leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate persuasively to diverse audiences, including experience giving effective presentations at industry conferences.
- Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data, industry information, and market trends.
- Senior-level project management skills, with the ability to bring projects to completion within the schedule provided.

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
