Veterinary Technician Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician Manager to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our veterinary department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and staff satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Supervise and mentor a team of veterinary technicians and assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and departmental efficiency.
- Staff Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Department Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the veterinary department, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with hospital staff, veterinarians, and clients, promoting effective communication and collaboration to achieve departmental goals.
- Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care, staff satisfaction, and departmental efficiency.
- Education: Associate's degree in veterinary technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in veterinary medicine, with 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Licensure: Current CVT or ability to transfer license to New York.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve departmental goals.
