Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Cafeteria Worker to join our team at Marian Catholic High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation, production, and cleaning in a school cafeteria setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve meals to students, following established dietary requirements and guidelines.
- Assist with food purchasing and storage, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
- Work with the Cafeteria Manager to ensure the cafeteria is clean and organized, and that all food safety protocols are followed.
- Perform various duties to maintain sanitation standards, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Collect food tokens and run the lunch register to charge students for their purchases.
- Provide excellent customer service to students and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; formal training in the food service field and/or nutrition and dietetic training preferred.
- Ability to safely operate food service equipment and follow oral and written directions from the Cafeteria Manager.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to meet work schedules and time lines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work in a school cafeteria environment, with regular exposure to food preparation and serving areas. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with occasional overtime required.
