Job Title: Distribution Center Supervisor - PM Shift

Job Summary:

As a Distribution Center Supervisor - PM Shift at Walgreens, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities for assigned functional areas. This includes monitoring daily productivity/output by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), defining resource needs, and working within budget and staffing parameters to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a group of team members in a designated functional area, monitoring productivity and work quality, and managing performance using available tools.
  • Mentor team members through on-the-job training, collaborating with the DC Trainer on conducting new team member orientation and recommending training curricula.
  • Conduct Management by Walking Around (MBWA) to ensure team member safety, address concerns, communicate essential information, and enforce distribution center guidelines.
  • Establish and cultivate morale and engagement among team members, encouraging participation in workplace activities and events, and establishing positive communication channels between cross-functional teams.
  • Enter daily performance forecasts into the DC productivity/efficiency report, utilizing and updating system computer applications for proper operation and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all Centers of Excellence SOPs for applicable functional areas, advocating for and participating in continuous improvement culture, particularly LEAN initiatives to improve processes and drive out waste.
  • Collaborate with management to measure performance compliance and requirements, directing appropriate actions by team members and equipment to maintain performance at or above required levels.
  • Maintain appropriate and required records for team members, equipment, and KPIs under responsibility.
  • Participate in administrative activities, including defining resource needs, working within budget and staffing parameters, and managing daily staffing needs for designated departments.
  • Participate in team member concerns, reporting, follow-up, investigation, or disciplinary process.
  • Promote a safe environment and meet safety requirements, complying with company policies and regulations set forth by Walgreens and various government agencies concerning safety, environmental handling of products, packaging, and related items.
