Senior Electrical Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Mercer University's Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC) in Warner Robins, GA.
About the PositionThis is a full-time, onsite position that requires a Ph.D. in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and leadership experience.
Responsibilities- Lead detailed engineering efforts using unique applications of technology and/or multi-disciplined teams.
- Analyze existing technology applications, processes, and products, taking into consideration costs, life cycle considerations, reliability, maintainability, productivity, and long-term support.
- Perform intensive technology research & evaluation of a broad array of alternative solutions to improve existing implementations.
- Define and implement advanced technological implementations and evaluations to provide risk reduction & determine production feasibility of improved and alternate technological implementations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- US Citizenship.
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- A Ph.D. in a relevant engineering field (e.g., EE, ME, AE, IE, SW, CE, Computer Science, etc.) from an ABET accredited institution and 6 years of directly related experience; or a Master's degree in same and 11 years of directly related experience; or an undergraduate degree in same and 12 years of directly related experience.
- 6 years of technical lead responsibility.
