Senior Tax Accountant

NESCO Inc is seeking a talented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in the Naugatuck, CT area. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small, collaborative tax department where you will learn from an experienced and hands-on Tax Manager.

Position Overview:


As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting with tax compliance, tax provision, and audit support. This position is ideal for someone with a few years of experience in the Big 4 or from a public company looking to advance their career in a supportive and engaging environment.

This role involves assisting in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax returns, as well as supporting the Tax Manager in preparing tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. You will also conduct tax research and provide analysis on various tax issues, assist with tax audits, and maintain and organize tax records and documentation.


Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax returns.
Support the Tax Manager in preparing tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
Conduct tax research and provide analysis on various tax issues.
Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Maintain and organize tax records and documentation.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax filings.
Participate in special tax projects as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification or progress towards certification is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of tax experience, preferably with Big 4 or a public company.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and international tax regulations.
Familiarity with ASC 740 and its application.
