Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our CVOR team at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and caring for surgical patients, assisting the surgical team during procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and prepare surgical equipment and supplies
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and skin preparation
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments and sponges
  • Maintain a sterile environment and monitor for breaches in technique
  • Assist with patient monitoring and gathering equipment for cleaning and sterilization

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NCCT, NBSTSA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in a hospital-based OR setting preferred
  • Ability to perform physical demands of the job, including frequent standing, bending, and lifting
