Floater - Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Floater - Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta. As a Floater, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality educational experiences for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement the program based on the program's goals and objectives, guided by the YMCA, Bright from the Start licensing, and Quality Rated.
- Develop and implement lesson plans to support early learning standards, including Language/Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Creative, Social Emotional, and Physical Development.
- Work collaboratively with the lead and assistant teachers to meet the needs of the children and classroom.
- Build strong relationships with children, providing care that is responsive, attentive, consistent, comforting, supportive, and culturally sensitive.
- Assist in activities that relate to the weekly studies and extend on what children know about each student's interest and their families.
- Implement family-style meals, sit and eat with children, and engage them in conversation.
- Ensure the classroom environment is clean and organized in accordance with program goals and philosophy.
- Keep all necessary records and documentation.
- Perform daily assignments, including coverage for other staff during breaks and planning time, cleaning toys and equipment, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Must be 19 years of age.
- CDA or TCC (preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience working with children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must submit a cleared GCIC and NCIC before working.
- TB screening and a Physical must be submitted before working.
