Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled MD/DO Neurology or PM&R professional with experience in evaluating Traumatic Brain Injury cases to assist Optum Serve with VA Disability exams in Norfolk, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate pertinent medical history documentation for Veterans
  • Conduct one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams
  • Capture responses during exams using a web-based examination form
  • Send completed exams to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations

Position Details:

  • Part Time - 3 Days/Week, Telehealth/Face to Face Hybrid Schedule
  • Long term commitment
  • VA Exams
  • Average 1-4 exams per day
  • Utilize EMR: Provider Portal (training provided)
  • No nights, no holidays, no call, no weekends

Requirements:

  • Virginia License required
  • Local Provider within 100 miles
  • Board Certified OR completed 2 year Residency in specialty (Neurology, Neurological Surgery, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Psychiatry)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000-$220,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
