We are seeking an experienced EEG Technologist to join our team at Mass General Brigham in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a per diem/prn position, offering the flexibility to choose your own schedule.

Job Summary

This role will involve working with patients who require extended monitoring for various neurological conditions. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong understanding of neurophysiology principles.

About the Role

The Electroneurodiagnostic (EEG) Technician or Neurophysiology Technician will be responsible for recording and studying patient brain waves and other electrical impulses of the nervous system. This includes performing routine EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and data review of studies. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with neurophysiology methods and techniques, as well as basic computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform EEG recordings and study patient brain waves
  • Annotate and review EEG data
  • Prepare patients and equipment for extended monitoring sessions
  • Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong foundation in neuroanatomy and physiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience with EEG technology and data analysis software
