Job Title: Associate Account Manager

Resolute Management, Inc. is a Third-Party Administrator providing expert services to clients handling complex environmental, asbestos, and latent type insurance claims. Job Summary:

The Direct Claims Associate Account Manager will work under supervision to monitor, review, and coordinate activities involving environmental, asbestos, and latent type claims. This includes resolving coverage issues and establishing adequate reserves.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and evaluate new loss notices and claim tenders to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with policy search teams to locate and verify coverage for alleged claims.
  • Position claims under applicable primary, umbrella, and excess coverage to ensure optimal resolution.
  • Coordinate the retention of defense counsel and establish defense strategies with insured, defense counsel, and participating insurance carriers.
  • Proactively manage case resolution processes, actively participating in mediations as needed within settlement authority limits.
  • Work with the reinsurance department to provide updates on new and existing accounts, and respond to reinsurer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with in-house Legal/management to manage declaratory judgment actions, including formation and implementation of resolution strategies, settlement valuation, and obtaining settlement authority.
  • Set reserves at an appropriate level for claims and coordinate timely processing of payments, verifying proper allocation across policies.
  • Manage Adjuster's Loss Adjustment Expense (ALAE) through strategic handling and bill review/payment processing in coordination with the billing unit.
  • Document claims in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required.
  • Travel as necessary.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and cooperative office environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively deal with interruptions.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and internet applications.
  • Attentive to details and able to work under pressure, executing good judgment in sensitive situations.
Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • J.D. preferred.
  • CPCU or other industry designation a plus.
  • Independent Property and Casualty adjuster's license a plus.
  • NYCAL experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in private practice asbestos or similar toxic tort litigation.
