Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description: As a Residential Support Specialist with Horizon Behavioral Health, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and recreational activities
- Assisting individuals with their physical management, including safe lifting and transferring
- Implementing training programs for individuals, as needed
- Recording data accurately and meeting established deadlines
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred
- CNA certification, preferred but not required
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and person-to-person
- Knowledge of electronic health records and documentation standards
