Survey Crew Chief

Land Surveyor Opportunity
Farnsworth Group, a leading engineering and architecture firm, is seeking a skilled Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Indianapolis, IN or Dayton, OH. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for performing various land surveys, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in property surveys, with proficiency in Trimble GPS, Total Station, and Data Collectors. Strong math skills, ability to organize field notes, and execute field staking are essential requirements. Experience in boundary research and execution of field staking is preferred. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel up to 60% for this position.

Responsibilities:
* Perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys in accordance with industry standards
* Conduct Boundary Research and Surveys as per relevant codes and regulations
* Execute topographic surveys using ATVs and other equipment
* Conduct Construction Layout for various development projects
* Perform As-Built Pipeline Surveys and 3D Scanning, UAV, and drone surveys

Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 5-10 years of property surveys experience
* Proficiency in Trimble GPS, Total Station, and Data Collectors
* Ability to organize field notes and execute field staking
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

Desirable Qualifications:
* Oil & Gas Pipeline experience
* DOT experience
* UAV license
* FAA 107 license
