Job Description

We are seeking a skilled painter to join our team at Brechbuhler Scales, Inc. in Canton, Ohio. As an industrial painter, you will be responsible for prepping and painting steel weldments using various coatings and application methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate spray paint systems and pressure-pot paint spray systems to apply prime coat and topcoat paints.
  • Perform safe operation of standard forklift and overhead cranes for movement of materials.
  • Perform housekeeping in the painting areas and maintain operating supplies for painting.
  • Assist in prepping, sanding, and reworking paint.
  • Follow standard work procedures and adhere to all safety standards.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience as an industrial or commercial painter preferred.
  • Requires agility and ability to move up and down and around weighbridge modules.
  • Required to stand and walk for long periods; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Have an eye for detail and understanding of the paint application.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Wear respirator, body suit, and rubber gloves.
