Job Summary

The Chief Information Officer for Oncology and Research will lead the development, implementation, and support of information technology for core oncology and oncology research applications, clinical ancillary and supportive care applications, and modules across Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. This includes Epic Enterprise EHR, Ancillary Radiology, Laboratory Information Systems, and Digital Health solutions.

This key IT leader will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing assigned enterprise applications, working closely with clinic and physician leadership and governance committees to facilitate strategic use of clinical applications and supporting technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and manage assigned enterprise applications to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Leverage expertise in clinical operations, application lifecycle management, and project management to drive successful implementations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT colleagues, clinicians, and operational leaders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and cybersecurity standards.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for application portfolio and support processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare information technology, with at least 7 years of direct management experience.
  • Advanced understanding of clinical operations, including ambulatory and inpatient settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in best practices and leading complex application solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Annual Salary Range

$178,007 - $296,628 based on experience and qualifications.
