A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Orient, OH.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $27-$30 per hour, based on experience. As an LPN with A-Line Staffing Solutions, you will have the opportunity to work multiple shifts, including 6:15a-2:15p and Sunday-Thursday schedules.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, or other licensed healthcare professionals. You will administer medications, assist with medical treatments, and support patients with their daily care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Nursing Care:
    • Provide nursing care within the scope of practice as set forth by Ohio Revised Code, including administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, reinserting gastrostomy tubes, suctioning, irrigating wounds, and giving enemas or douches.
    • Assist in the administration of dialysis treatments, operate hemodialysis equipment, and monitor patients during the procedure.
    • Administer controlled and non-controlled medications (e.g., narcotics, tranquilizers, injections) as prescribed, including oral, rectal, topical, or injectable medications.
    • Monitor and document patient responses to medications and treatments, reporting any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
  • Patient Care & Support:
    • Take vital signs, assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities, administer topical ointments, and provide general direct care.
    • Assist physicians with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.
    • Respond to patient alarms and provide emergency first-aid or CPR as needed.
    • Provide one-on-one or group activities based on the patient's treatment plan, and support recreational activities.
  • Medication & Medical Equipment Management:
    • Maintain accurate medication accountability records, including charting patient records, preparing and counting medications, and ensuring proper medication storage.
    • Clean, sterilize, and restock medication carts, supplies, and medical equipment.
    • Order medications and medical supplies as needed to ensure a well-stocked facility.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Document and report patient conditions, including medication reactions, treatment responses, and behavior changes.
    • Maintain various patient-related reports, such as unusual incident reports, medication logs, and team care plans.
  • Team Collaboration & Training:
    • Provide direction, orientation, and training to lower-level direct care staff (e.g., hospital aides, psychiatric attendants) to ensure appropriate patient care.
    • Attend and participate in staff meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, in-service training programs, and nursing conferences as required.
  • Clerical & Administrative Duties:
    • Perform clerical tasks, including answering phones, filing, and maintaining nursing station organization.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medication room, nurse's station, and medical supplies.
    Qualifications
    • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state of Ohio.
    • Experience as an LPN preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
    • Experience in an institutional, healthcare, or clinical setting is preferred.
    • CPR Certification
