Job Overview:
S&ME, Inc. is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our Construction Services team in Asheville, North Carolina. This full-time role offers competitive pay based on experience, with an estimated annual salary of $70,000 - $90,000. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing lab personnel, overseeing project management, field work, scheduling and coordination, training and certification, quality and safety, and client and business development. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering or other closely related technical field, as well as 2+ years combined experience in geotechnical and construction materials testing and a supervisory, management, or leadership role. Proficiency with computer technology and mechanical testing equipment is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily lab activities and projects, ensuring quality and safety of laboratory operations
- Manage lab personnel, including scheduling assignments and maintaining equipment
- Coordinate training and certifications for technical development
- Support business development efforts through proposal preparation and cross-selling services
- Collaborate with Field Supervisors and Project Managers on project progress
