Job Title: Project Safety Specialist

Turner Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for providing training to construction project teams on safe work practices, educating and enforcing adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate construction project teams on EH&S programs, policies, and procedures
  • Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with company and EH&S policies, Federal, State, and Local regulations, and project owner contractual requirements
  • Build working relationships with project teams and subcontractor Safety representatives
  • Contribute to the development of overall project safety programs
  • Enforce safety programs, related policies, and procedures, and implement immediate corrective actions in accordance with Turner, Federal, State, and Local regulations and owner requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited degree program in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field of study
  • Minimum of 2 years of related construction safety experience
  • Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST) certification required or within two years of appointment
  • Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications
