Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. As a member of our team, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, free medical plan, monthly bonuses, 401(k) match, reimbursement for training and/or student loans, generous PTO, and profit sharing.

Job Description

As a Physical Therapy Assistant - Patient Support Specialist, you will work closely with our physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming and comforting patients to prepare them for physical therapy
  • Displaying excellent customer service skills and providing encouragement when appropriate
  • Following the plan of care established for the patient by the therapist
  • Assisting therapists with non-clinical tasks and supporting patient success in therapy
  • Educating patients about equipment usage and ensuring safe and correct operation
  • Assisting patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques
  • Applying therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation
  • Ensuring 360-degree communication with patients, physicians, and staff members
  • Preparing and maintaining treatment areas, including sanitizing equipment

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • No required education or experience, but an ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree
