Substitute Cafeteria Worker

This position is responsible for providing nutrition services to students in a safe and healthful manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides.
- Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
- Brew coffee, fill beverage machines, set up hot and/or cold food area.
- Deliver food to staff, students, and catering events as needed.
- Comply with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling.
- Comply with all client location security protocols and guidelines.
- Check and store incoming supplies.
- Follow assigned break schedules.
- Collect and strip trays for dishwashing and participate in ware washing if assigned.
- Store silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc.
- Participate on safety committee.
- Attend all mandatory in-service programs.
- Manage POS/cash handling if applicable for position.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments, including reading and understand recipes.
- Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to use POS system.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- Always present a positive and professional image.
- Basic English Reading and Writing Skills.
- Able to Pass Background Screening.
- Able to pass strict background screening.
- ServSafe Certification a plus but not required.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 1:30PM
Supervisor: Stacy Fowler
Salary Target: $15.00 per hour
