Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing nutrition services to students in a safe and healthful manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides.
  • Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
  • Brew coffee, fill beverage machines, set up hot and/or cold food area.
  • Deliver food to staff, students, and catering events as needed.
  • Comply with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling.
  • Comply with all client location security protocols and guidelines.
  • Check and store incoming supplies.
  • Follow assigned break schedules.
  • Collect and strip trays for dishwashing and participate in ware washing if assigned.
  • Store silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc.
  • Participate on safety committee.
  • Attend all mandatory in-service programs.
  • Manage POS/cash handling if applicable for position.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments, including reading and understand recipes.
  • Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to use POS system.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
  • Always present a positive and professional image.
  • Basic English Reading and Writing Skills.
  • Able to Pass Background Screening.
  • Able to pass strict background screening.
  • ServSafe Certification a plus but not required.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 1:30PM

Supervisor: Stacy Fowler

Salary Target: $15.00 per hour
