Laboratory Specialist

At the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, we are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Specialty Analysis Technologist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and perform new specialty laboratory procedures
* Generate, train, purchase, and validate supplies and instrumentation
* Analyze and coordinate activities in PCR amplification, electrophoretic separation, cloning, genetic analyses, protein expression, and purification
* Handle samples collected from non-human primates, isolate cells from blood, bone marrow, and other tissues
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree
* OR 5 years of cell culture techniques and/or molecular techniques will substitute for the degree requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
* General proficiency in cell culture techniques and/or molecular techniques, including RNA/DNA from tissues, PCR amplification, and electrophoretic separation
