About the Role

This position involves working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and support. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. You will also help with basic nursing tasks, including taking vital signs and administering simple treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Take vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, and document results accurately.
  • Administer simple treatments, such as range of motion exercises and positioning patients for examination or treatment.
  • Transport patients safely and comfortably within the facility.
  • Report any concerns or changes in patient condition to nurses and other healthcare professionals promptly.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent with additional training in patient care.
  • A minimum of six months experience in a Long Term Care Skilled Nursing setting.
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association within six months of hire date.
