Production Technician

We are seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team at Cummins. In this role, you will be responsible for installing value-added components to loose engines and generators, as well as performing light production assembly tasks such as drilling, bolting, and light fabrication.
You will work closely with a team to accomplish installations and interpret basic installation drawings. Additionally, you will be responsible for general shop maintenance, including inspecting extension cords, replacing air lines, and performing daily JSA reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience. You will also need to be able to work in an automotive shop/manufacturing setting and have mechanical knowledge.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing value-added components to loose engines and generators
- Performing light production assembly tasks such as drilling, bolting, and light fabrication
- Interpreting basic installation drawings
- General shop maintenance, including inspecting extension cords, replacing air lines, and performing daily JSA reports
Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in an automotive shop/manufacturing setting
- Mechanical knowledge
- Ability to use power tools and computer software
- Ability to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally
