About the Job
DeKalb Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at Parkview Randallia Hospital. This dynamic environment offers a unique opportunity to provide care to patients at all stages of life.
Job Summary
The 6 Medical department is located on the 6th floor and consists of 20 beds. As a Patient Care Technician, you will work under the direction of a licensed Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include performing basic patient care tasks, adhering to the PH Standards of Behavior, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; if you are at least 17 years old but do not yet have a current high school diploma/GED, you must be actively working towards your high school diploma/GED and receive it within 2 years of hire.
- CPR certification is required within 60 days of hire; CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification is preferred.
- You must be able to lift 50 pounds and demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
