Job Summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and modifying aircraft structures and structural components. The selected candidate will work onsite at the listed location and be required to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components

Determine equipment malfunctions to restore equipment condition and operation

Interpret technical documentation, such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals

Perform on and off aircraft electrical modifications to electrical wiring and system components

Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems depot maintenance level

Requirements

5+ years of experience in aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components

5+ years of experience with shop practices, electrical/electronic theories, and systems

5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair

5+ years of experience accessing aircraft computer data systems to initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with F-18/Fighter or Depot Level/Modification maintenance

Active Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
