Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of histology technicians and provide guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality laboratory results.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement activities to improve laboratory processes and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and management to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including histology and cytology testing.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a related field and certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
  • At least four years of experience as a histology technician, with at least two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve high-quality results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and patient safety.
