We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Wellness Coach to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Omaha. As a Wellness Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellness goals of our members, promoting a culture of wellness, and contributing to the overall mission of the YMCA.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain effective relationships with members, providing personalized coaching and support to help them achieve their wellness goals.
- Develop and implement wellness programs and services that meet the diverse needs of our members, including group exercise classes, workshops, and one-on-one coaching.
- Collaborate with other YMCA staff and community partners to promote wellness and healthy living initiatives.
- Provide education and resources to members on healthy living topics, including nutrition, stress management, and physical activity.
- Conduct post-enrollment interviews to understand new members' wellness goals and develop plans to meet their individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on member engagement and program participation.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Two or more years of college preferred, pursuing a degree in Exercise Science, Wellness Health Promotion, or a related health field.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to enforce rules and speak in public.
- Must be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about resistance and cardiorespiratory training.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and complete required training and certifications.
The Wellness Coach will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on promoting wellness and healthy living. The physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, walking, and bending, as well as lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds. The YMCA of Greater Omaha is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
