Ryder System is currently seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. This full-time, permanent position is based in Sikeston, Missouri and offers a competitive salary of $1180 per week or $29.50 per hour plus shift differential.

About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance, and complex mechanical and electronic problem diagnosis. They must have a strong understanding of mechanical repair and a proven track record of experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines.

ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
  • Maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and equipment
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance tasks
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Interacting with customers/drivers and demonstrating safety and DOT knowledge

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have at least three years of relevant work experience and a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A. The ability to obtain a CDL within six months after hire is also required. Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of mechanical repair and diagnostic techniques.
