Stanford University is seeking an Associate Director of Donor Relations to join the Medical Center Development (MCD) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive stewardship plans, writing high-impact reports and correspondence, and managing multiple priorities and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with development officers to define stewardship strategy and maximize engagement for a portfolio of donors.
- Meet with assigned development officers to plan and execute comprehensive stewardship reporting and collateral for Stanford Medicine's donors.
- Research, write, edit, and finalize reports, gift acknowledgment letters, and other stewardship collateral and correspondence for donors.
- Proactively monitor and manage the stewardship needs of donors, building a complete understanding of each donor's involvement and giving activity.
- Coordinate with faculty, development officers, and MCD staff and University partners to develop and produce key stewardship deliverables.
- Oversee design and production of development materials from creation to deployment.
- Manage the reporting and data needs for donors, using multiple databases.
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Strong client service orientation and attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with a wide range of people at different levels of an organization.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to articulate science progress and impact in a way that is understandable and meaningful to various constituencies.
- Proven ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple priorities and projects.
