Schedule exams, procedures, and tests for patients, ensuring smooth operations by obtaining accurate and complete patient and insurance information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality customer service by answering incoming phone calls or contacting patients by phone to determine appropriate exam/test/procedure and schedule patient appropriately.
  • Review screening forms and obtain/verify patient and insurance information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure best possible customer service by properly educating the patient on exam/test/procedure preparation and answering related questions.
  • Update patient records, including any notes necessary for the technologist, customer, or future reference.
  • Follow site-specific protocols and keep protocol documentation up-to-date to ensure compliance.
  • Obtain proper approval for schedule changes or cancellations as appropriate.
  • Maintain total confidentiality of personal and financial data.
  • Act in a courteous manner and maintain composure even when dealing with angry or irritated patients.
  • Perform other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior scheduling experience preferred.
  • Two years of experience, preferably in healthcare.
