Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Lead After-School Care Coordinator at Oregon City School District 62. This role will be responsible for providing an enriching and engaging after-school care environment for elementary school students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and lead age-appropriate after-school activities for Kindergarten-5th grade children in a school setting.
  • Utilize computer software for attendance tracking and for technology integration into student learning.
  • Supervise a large group of children in both large and small group settings (typically 1:15 ratio).
  • Actively engage in games, enrichment activities, STEAM projects, and recreational activities with the children.
  • Use positive behavior guidelines and strategies to support and respond to student behaviors.
  • Provide active supervision and observational awareness skills during the entirety of the shift.
  • Document and communicate concerns and problems in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Experience working with youth, youth development, camps, childcare, educational instruction, or related disciplines (minimum 2 years).
  • Personal attributes: ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with children and adults, clearly communicate, problem-solve quickly, patient, flexible, and have a positive attitude.
  • Must obtain a Food Handlers Card, CPR/First Aid certificates prior to employment.
  • Must complete required ELD/ODHS training prior to employment.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, active, and changing environment.
  • Bilingual applicants are desired but not required.
Compensation

The hourly rate of pay is $18.40 - $25.87 per hour, with an estimated annual salary range of $32,643 - $43,045 based on a 4.7 hours per day, 178 days per year schedule.
