Systems Administrator Facets Specialist

The System Administrator Facets Specialist provides operational support of the claim adjudication system, Cognizant Facets, to maintain optimal performance and functionality for claims processing. This includes the installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and tuning of Windows-based servers. Additionally, the System Administrator troubleshoots server issues and provides technical support to the development team.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Facets application server software and supporting suite of tools
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
Support and maintain security measures to protect the server from potential threats
Collaborate with developers to deploy applications on the server
Execute the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows-based systems
Troubleshoot systems, providing failure analysis and recovery
Support system requests which include new servers, firewall changes, load balancer needs, and DNS requirements
Provide 24x7 Production environment support via an on-call rotation
Create and maintain documentation of architecture and other environmental areas
Interface with 3rd party vendors on technical needs and/or triaging of issues
Support disaster recovery and business continuity processes, exercises, and documentation
Requirements
5+ years of demonstrated knowledge of Cognizant Facets
Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server OS
Knowledge of core networking concepts to support troubleshooting
Demonstrated skill in collaborating professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers to maintain a successful work environment
Proficient at Microsoft office products
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent database technology
Ability to read application logs (primarily .NET)
Scripting or programming skills
Experience working with monitoring and management tools such as Dynatrace or RHQ
