Job Summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a skilled EEG Technologist to join our team. As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing neurology procedures and providing technical knowledge, expertise, and professional judgment to support the mission and goal of Sharp HealthCare.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, infectious diseases of the nervous system, degenerative diseases, head trauma, brain tumors, and endocrine disorders.

• Perform various neurodiagnostic exams, including electroencephalography (EEG) and other related procedures.

• Maintain instrument/equipment in good working order and take appropriate precautions to ensure electrical safety.

• Participate in department performance improvement initiatives and maintain cleanliness and adequate stocking in both exam and work areas.

• Ensure a safe environment by evaluating patient fall risk and maintaining patient medical devices.

Requirements

• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) certification is required.

• Satisfactory completion of formal Neurodiagnostic training in an approved school and meet the requirements for registry by the R.EEG.T, ASST, and ABRE is preferred.

• 1 year of experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist in an acute care facility is preferred.

• Certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists and/or an Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology and/or completion of a certificate/diploma program from Electroencephalographic Technicians is required.

• Meets the requirements for registry by the NT is required.
