Job Summary

Under the guidance of a radiologist, performs computed tomography (CT) scans on patients to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Ensures patient comfort and safety throughout the scanning process. Collaborates with healthcare teams to provide accurate and timely imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operates CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures
  • Positions patients correctly for scanning, taking into account their medical history and any physical limitations
  • Administers contrast media as needed to enhance image quality
  • Monitors patients during scanning and responds to any adverse reactions or changes in their condition
  • Reviews and evaluates images for diagnostic quality and accuracy
  • Communicates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results
  • Maintains a clean and organized scanning environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements
  • Current certification as a radiologic technologist (RT) in the state of California
  • Experience with CT scanners and imaging software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a hospital or medical imaging setting
  • Knowledge of CT scanning protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
