About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Job Summary

This is a full-time opportunity with a salary range of $62,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in surgical technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to hospital protocols.
  • Maintain equipment and instruments in proper working order, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a surgical technologist; bilingual skills a plus.
