Job Overview

The Systematic Critical Incident Review Specialist will evaluate compliance status, complaints, and suspected violations. This role requires reviewing industry-specific rules, regulations, and statutes to determine if entities or individuals comply with requirements, the nature of any violations or discrepancies, or the type of action to be taken.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate compliance status, complaints, and suspected violations.
  • Review industry-specific rules, regulations, and statutes to determine compliance.
  • Prepare reports, submissions, or recommendations about findings.
  • Determine liability or penalty for violations.
  • Follow up with managers or entities regarding corrections and recommended actions addressing violations or new requirements.
  • May review contracts to evaluate if an entity's actions meet governmental requirements.
  • Assist with developing rules, regulations, policies, or procedures.
  • Advise individuals and groups concerning regulations, inspection, and investigation findings; encourage voluntary action to correct problems.
  • Confer with officials and technical or professional specialists.
  • Interview individuals to obtain information or clarify facts.
  • Interpret governmental regulations for individuals and employers.
  • Review contracts, federal regulations, or binding program requirements to determine an entity's actions required to meet governmental provisions.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure compliance procedures are up-to-date and followed.
  • Consult with attorneys to address difficult legal compliance issues.
  • Verify that firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
  • Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Three years of directly related work experience.
  • Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.
