Job Summary

Williamson Health is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Paramedic to provide expert pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for the sick and injured at an advanced practice level. This role requires serving as an operational and clinical team leader on any emergency medical incident.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for the sick and injured.
  • Serve as an operational and clinical team leader on any emergency medical incident.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Paramedic diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Tennessee Licensed Critical Care Paramedic.
  • BLS certification at time of employment.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of employment.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within six months of employment.
  • Associates Degree Preferred.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residency; must be insurable.
  • Minimum of two years emergency pre-hospital experience preferred.

Physical Effort:

The Critical Care Paramedic must be able to utilize devices for patient movement, including all functions of the ambulance stretcher, with a 250-pound weight, with a partner. They must also be able to walk, crawl, stand, sit, climb, stoop, run, and kneel to access patients. Additionally, they must be able to carry patients and equipment over varying distances, terrain, and up or down stairs. The EKG monitor and jump bag must be carried unassisted.
