Job Overview

Rusty Pelican Miami is seeking a skilled Dishwasher to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dining establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment, including loading and unloading dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment into the dishwasher.
  • Sorting and organizing dishes and utensils into appropriate categories to ensure they are cleaned properly.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing dishes and utensils to the highest standards, using detergents and sanitizers, as well as hot water and high-pressure sprayers.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and equipment.
  • Assisting kitchen staff as needed, including food prep and plating dishes during busy times.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations, including wearing protective gear and ensuring all dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy objects, including plate ware and cleaning equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
