About the Role

This position is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. As a Mental Health Care Specialist, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support to patients with mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses in providing direct patient care, including completing patient care assignments and intervening in managing complex patient situations.
  • Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups, providing direction, support, and supervision as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and organized unit environment, identifying and reporting house cleaning and equipment problems to Unit Secretary/ND.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including providing for patients' nutritional needs according to unit procedure.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in direct patient care preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in collaboration with others.
  • Basic computer skills to use electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
