We are hiring a Traumatic Brain Injury Provider (Neurological Surgery, Neurology, or Physiatry) to join our team of medical experts and conduct one-time non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Hillsboro, OR.

  • Employment Status: Independent Contractor
  • Compensation: Negotiable
  • Schedule: Part Time, 3-4 days a week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Responsibilities
  • Read Order request(s) including any remarks, questions, directions, or requests for opinion; thorough review of medical history including service records and previous exams. This includes refuting previous medical opinions from previous examiners
  • Complete appropriate Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) and Medical Opinions (MO) through the Electronic Medical Records System (EMR) during the exam and provide necessary documentation to the VA with a full understanding of the Veteran's claimed contention(s)
  • Explain the exam process to the veteran and confirm the claimed conditions with the veteran
  • Complete the chart and submit the exam within 24-48 hours after the exam is completed
  • Administers and interprets the MOCA test as needed
  • Flexible schedule allowing exams to be completed in person and potentially telehealth if telehealth exams are requested
Requirements
  • Must hold an MD/DO license in at least one state in the United States
  • Must be board-certified in Neurological Surgery, Neurology, or Physiatry or candidate must have completed a 2-year residency with one of these specialties
  • Prior experience in clinical settings
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite and using EMR and platforms
  • Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care

Estimated salary range for this position is $80-$120 per hour based on location and industry standards.
