Job Summary:

The Greater Hope Foundation for Children Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Child Welfare Specialist III to facilitate foster care placement and provide services to children requiring foster placement and their resource families.

This role involves conducting supervised visits, assessments, and developing individual case plans and treatment objectives for each client to ensure successful foster care placement. The Child Welfare Specialist III may utilize bilingual skills as needed and will consult with colleagues to ensure quality and ethically sound services that maintain compliance with State, AGH, and CARF Accreditation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counseling Services: Provide individual, group, and family counseling and supportive services to clients.
  • Home Visits: Conduct regular home visits to approved resource families to assess and address the needs of children and provide support to resource parents.
  • Case Planning: Develop individual case plans and treatment objectives for children in foster care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Mental Health Services Department to coordinate all services and arrange referrals as needed.
  • Monitoring: Monitor treatment objectives and ensure they are met.
  • Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and screens as required.
  • Sibling Support: Monitor visits between children and birth families, provide intervention and support as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  1. A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field recognized by Community Care Licensing.
  2. Maintain a welcoming environment for families and other community partners.
  3. Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy practices.
