Job Title: DevOps Manager

About the Role:

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Manager to join our team. As a DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of DevOps engineers in support of our data ecosystem in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and on-premise. You will devise and manage the DevOps team work effort in alignment with business objectives and lead DevOps Agile project planning. You will also communicate status of projects, activities, and findings through verbal, written, and/or visual reporting.

Responsibilities:

* Lead DevOps team in change management processes to coordinate and communicate team activity
* Collaborate with team members to automate cloud infrastructure functions and monitor performance of data processes
* Work closely with data engineers to design and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
* Manage on-prem and cloud identity and account systems

Requirements:

* BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
* Demonstrated success in leading teams of DevOps engineers in complex IT environments
* Three years of DevOps Engineering experience with Amazon Web Services
* Proficiency in one or more scripting languages and/or programming languages, preferably Python
