CNC Machinist Job Summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating sophisticated CNC metal machining equipment, specifically Citizen lathes or comparable equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and set up CNC metal machining equipment to produce high-quality parts and components.
• Operate manual and less sophisticated CNC metal machining equipment as needed.
• Use measurement instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators, to ensure accurate parts production.
• Train CNC technicians to become proficient in setting up, operating, and manufacturing parts to controlled documents and drawings.
• Work independently with minimal supervision to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Machine Shop certificate or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience at Journeyman level in CNC metal machining.
• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to visualize shapes.
• Able to read blueprints and follow verbal and written manufacturing procedures.
