Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool team at Inova, a leading nonprofit healthcare provider in Northern Virginia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to work on various units within the medical/surgical and telemetry departments, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our patients and our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Perform comprehensive patient health assessments, interpret multiple data sets, and synthesize their interrelationships to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Support Patient Empowerment: Empower patients and their families as they progress through the healthcare continuum, from health promotion to end-of-life decisions.
  • Advocate for Patients' Rights: Advocate for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective, providing counsel and acting as a resource to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to meet desired outcomes, communicate effectively, and work cooperatively with others.
  • Document Patient Care: Document all patient care activities, as per documentation standards, and assist healthcare team members with documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider Certification required.
  • Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
  • Experience: 2 years of Acute care experience.
