Job Description

As a Clinical Healthcare Documentation Specialist at EPPA, you will work closely with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to accurately document patient encounters in real-time.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately recording patient history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, lab results, consultations, treatment plans, diagnoses, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism, interacting seamlessly with patients, providers, hospital staff, and colleagues.
  • Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and EPPA's confidentiality guidelines.
  • Demonstrating exceptional job attendance and adhering to the same standards as our healthcare professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A strong foundation in pre-medical or science coursework, preferably with an emphasis on organic chemistry.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience in healthcare-related fields, including direct patient care, volunteering, shadowing, or research.
  • Proficiency in typing at 60 words per minute or higher, with excellent computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on grammatically correct English language.

Work Environment and Schedule

Our scheduling is flexible, accommodating most students' schedules, with shifts ranging from 8-10 hours, including mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
