Job Overview

The Field Service Technician role at Cook Capital Equipment involves providing high-quality repair, preventative maintenance, and installation services for our customers in the Southeast Region. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong technical knowledge, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on field-installed equipment.
  • Read and understand technical drawings to build and repair equipment.
  • Provide accurate and legible documentation.
  • Work with hand tools, power tools, and some heavy machinery.

Requirements:

  • Two-year technical degree in electronics or biotechnology; bachelor's degree in lieu of technical degree considered.
  • Strong math skills and technical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel approximately 80% of the time.
  • Occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Close visual acuity for working with computers and machinery.
  • Ability to work with chemicals such as adhesives, acetone, and isopropyl alcohol.

Work Environment:

This position involves frequent standing, walking, and using hands to grasp, carry, feel, or touch. Good eyesight, hand dexterity, and attention to detail are required. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure is essential.
