Job Summary

As a skilled Social Worker at Children's of Alabama, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and expert care to patients and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality social services, ensuring that patients receive the support and resources they need to achieve optimal health and rehabilitation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized social service plans to address patients' unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' social, emotional, and environmental needs.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on topics such as coping with illness, managing stress, and accessing community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient interactions and progress.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Master's level social worker (LMSW) by the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably with a focus on social services.
