Aircraft Maintenance Director

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Aircraft Maintenance to join our team. As a key member of our Mission Aviation Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft and overseeing maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee maintenance of 14 CFR 91 aircraft, ensuring regulatory requirements are met or exceeded.
- Establish and maintain a maintenance, inspection, and repair program to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee aircraft maintenance and inspections, including engines, aircraft systems, and major and minor repairs.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable regulatory and manufacturer requirements and is properly documented.
- Work with Aviation Purchasing and Logistics Manager and vendors to procure parts and schedule offsite maintenance, inspections, upgrades, and modifications.
- Assist the MAS Director in acquisition and divestment of aircraft, including research, records review, and management of modifications, painting, and refurbishment.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five (5) plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current FAA Aviation Mechanic Airframe and Power Plant Certificate is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration 14 CFR regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of both Domestic and International Flight Operations.
- Ability to maintain all applicable aviation mechanic certifications required.
- High level of confidentiality required.
- Strong ability to think critically, handle change well, and make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, and work independently.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication, lead your team of technicians with servant leadership approach and ability to identify individual needs, provide feedback.
- Strong ability to lead or participate in cross-functional teams, leading through influence, successfully collaborating and partnering across an organization.
- General knowledge and proficiency in software systems including Power Point, Outlook, Word, Excel, PeopleSoft, web browsers, and video conferencing tools.
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
