Meat Department Supervisor

We are seeking an exceptional Meat Department Supervisor to lead our team and drive excellence in customer service, employee relations, and operational efficiency. As a key member of our Hy-Vee team, you will play a critical role in achieving our company's vision of providing excellent customer service and exceeding customer expectations. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a positive attitude and creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages employees to engage with customers and provide exceptional service.
• Setting and enforcing high standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, and overall profitability.
• Ensuring efficient inventory management, including ordering product for replenishment and maintaining accurate records.
• Providing leadership and guidance to department employees, including recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, disciplining, and evaluating staff members.
• Analyzing sales data and trends to make informed decisions about product offerings, pricing, and promotions.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as relevant experience in the meat industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• The ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform other physical tasks as required by the job.
